Kurumoch International Airport successfully passes ISO 9001:2008 surveillance audit of Quality Management System.The scheduled surveillance audit was conducted within five days by independent auditors from Bureau Veritas Certification, a worldwide leader in compliance testing and certification. The company’s experts have audited a representative sample of the services and departments of Kurumoch Airport. Following the results of the audit, the Airport’s Quality Management System (QMS) has been recognised as effective and compliant with the Standard requirements of ISO 9001:2008. Among the QMS strengths noted by Bureau Veritas Certification are the Airport’s lead management, infrastructure development, smoothly running work activity management system, high-level educational services provided at the Aviation Training Centre, and employees’ knowledge and competence. It is also recommended that the Airport continue to improve the effectiveness of its QMS.
Following the results of the surveillance audit, Kurumoch International Airport has been recommended to maintain certification for the next twelve months.

Kurumoch International Airport
is the first Russian airport to successfully complete its certification audit
to ISO 9001:2000. Certification has confirmed that all
the Airport services fully comply with modern internationally expected
standards (Certificate № 200189 as of October 30, 2006, issued by Bureau
Veritas Certification).
The primary objectives
of the Airport's quality management (those of passenger, baggage, cargo, mail
and customer airline’s aircraft handling - including navigational support,
aerodrome flight support and prompt aircraft maintenance, flight safety, flight
regularity, aviation security and also training performed at the Airport’s
Aviation Training Centre) have all met with the auditors approval.
In March 2009, Kurumoch
Airport was recertified for the new ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System
standard (the new edition of the standard was published in November 2008).
The Quality Management System implemented at Kurumoch allows the Airport to continuously improve the efficiency of its internal business processes in response to changes in the air transport services market.
